Bore, Copper, and Nitro Solvents

Bore Solvent

Bore cleaning solvent cleans by powerful solvent penetration, without alkaline ingredients.  Won't cause corrosion or staining.

Available in 4 fl. oz. bottle

Both products are effectively the same except the Gel version is gelatinous. The gel version is used primarily inside of long barrels where one would want the solvent to adhere to the inside of the barrel around the entire circumference evenly without dripping down the inside walls of the barrel prematurely.

Safe to use on metals, pH Neutral.  Will not cause rust, oxidation, staining, or galvanic corrosion.  May be harmful to some paints, varnishes, and plastics.  Keep product OFF of these types of surfaces unless a previous patch test has shown no effect.  It is recommended that the firearm be re-treated with G96 Gun Treatment, G96 Gun Oil, or G96 Synthetic CLP Gun Oil after use.

Directions for use:

Saturate patch with bore solvent and push through bore from breech and out muzzle. Repeat with clean saturated patch. Follow with dry patch. Repeat wet-dry patch process until bore is clean. For stubborn deposits use a bristle brush. Never plug or leave patch in bore. Re-treat with G96 Gun Treatment, G96 Gun Oil or G96 Synthetic CLP Gun Oil.  Run a dry patch through bore before firing. Safe to use on metals.  Will not cause rust, oxidation, staining or galvanic corrosion. May be harmful to some paints, varnishes, and plastics. Keep product off of these types of surface unless a previous patch test has shown no effect.

Copper Solvent

Extra powerful formula. Removes copper or gilded metal fouling and powder residue in all firearm bores. Quick and easy to use. NON-FLAMMABLE. Maybe harmful around painted metal, plastic, synthetic stocks or varnished stocks. It is recommended that the firearm be re-treated with G96 Gun Treatment, G96 Gun Oil, or G96 Synthetic CLP Gun Oil after use.

Available in 8 fl. oz. bottle

Directions for use:

Use G96 Crud Buster to clean rod and accessories before starting.  For best results use in combination with G96 Bore Solvent or G96 Bore Solvent Gel.  DO NOT use phosphorus bronze brush with copper solvent.  Clean from chamber end of firearm when possible.  Saturate patch with copper solvent and push through bore with jerking motion.  Repeat with clean saturated patch.  Follow with dry patch.  Repeat wet/dry patch process until bore is clean.  For stubborn deposits use a bristle brush.  Allow solvent to remain in bore NO LONGER THAN 10 MINUTES.  Never plug or leave patch in bore.  It is recommended that the firearm be re-treated with G96 Gun Treatment, G96 Gun Oil,  or G96 Synthetic CLP Gun Oil after use.  Run a dry patch through bore before firing.

Nitro Solvent

Specially designed for the serious skeet and trap shooter. It neutralizes the corrosive acid residue built up from the plastic shot shells. Heavy duty solvents quickly remove leading, powder residue and metal fouling for a sparkling clean bore. Spray can ends loss of effectiveness due to evaporation of solvents and ends contamination due to dirty particles. Maybe harmful around painted metal, plastic, synthetic stocks or varnished stocks. It is recommended that the firearm be re-treated with G96 Gun Treatment, G96 Gun Oil or G96 Synthetic CLP Gun Oil after use.

Available in 6 oz. aerosol spray can

Directions for use:

Spray onto patch.  Push slowly through bore from breech end and out through muzzle.  Swap with another saturated patch working both ways.  Then push through a dry patch - rub well.  Change patches until patch comes out perfectly clean.  It is recommended that the firearm be re-treated with G96 Gun Treatment, G96 Gun Oil or G96 Synthetic CLP Gun Oil after use.  Always wipe out bore before firing.
